How SpenDrip keeps your money and identity safe
SpenDrip checks who you are before any money moves, checks who you're paying before you save them, and counts a payment as sent only when the bank confirms it. Here is exactly what happens at each step.

Identity checks
Before you can add money or send it, you verify with a photo of your ID (NIN slip, driver's licence, voter's card or passport) and three quick live selfies: looking straight, turning one way, then the other, in a random order. The selfies must be taken live in the app, not picked from your gallery. One ID can only verify one account.
New accounts have limits while verification is ID and live selfies only: up to ₦50,000 per drip and ₦300,000 in your balance.
Cards
You pay on Paystack's secure checkout, so SpenDrip never sees your card number. For one-tap top-ups we keep only an encrypted token from Paystack.
Paying the right person
When you add someone, SpenDrip looks up the name on their bank account and shows it to you before you save. Each payment goes only to accounts you've saved.
Every naira accounted for
Money is set aside before each transfer and counted as sent only after the bank confirms it. If a transfer fails, it returns to your balance. Every movement is recorded in a double-entry ledger, so balances can always be traced.
Locking the app
Open SpenDrip with Face ID or your PIN. It locks itself after a few minutes away. You can set a daily sending limit and pause every payment with one switch.
